Putting a price on it

At Turners we know that getting the right price for your home is essential. We offer valuations of your property free of charge and our experienced advisors will ask all the necessary questions to make sure we get it spot on. Getting it out there

Showing your property at its best is essential for attracting buyers. We offer a quality photographic service, taking pictures of both the inside and outside of your property to capture it in its best light. All Turners instructions are advertised in full colour in the local Guardian, and on www.rightmove.co.uk and www.findaproperty.com - two of the biggest property search websites in the UK, guaranteeing you maximum exposure. When you put your property on the market, we recommend you use a solicitor to handle all the legal paperwork involved in making a sale.

Finding the perfect buyer

To make sure everyone who is interested in your property gets a chance to view it, viewings are conducted by appointment between 8:45am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. Appointments can also be booked during these times. Potential buyers will contact Turners to express their interest and then we will contact you to book the viewings in. As soon as an offer is received we will notify you both verbally and in writing. If you accept the offer, it is important that certain details are sorted out at the same time - including date for exchange of contracts, date for completion and details of any extras included or excluded from the purchase. We will be there to advise, help and negotiate on your behalf so that you feel informed and happy every step of the way.

Getting down to details

Once you have agreed the sale, your solicitor will draft up a contract and send it to the purchaser's solicitor. They will also organise all the supporting applicable paperwork like title deeds, fixtures and fittings list, seller's questionnaire, planning consent and any other relevant documents.

Signing on the Dotted Line

When all the preliminary enquiries from the draft contract have been dealt with and any local search queries have been settled, the contract will be approved. On the buyer's side, once their mortgage has been confirmed (subject to survey) they will be ready to move forward with the purchase and exchange contracts with you. The contract is signed by the buyer and seller, and the deposit is transferred by the buyer's solicitor. The completion date is finalised.

Sold!

Anything from a few days to a few weeks after the exchange of contracts, the residual monies are transferred from the buyer's solicitor to your solicitor's account. You can now hand over the keys to the buyer and pop open the champagne - you've sold your property!
